ทาง Sony Interactive Entertainment ได้ประกาศผลสุดยอดเกมแห่งปี ในแต่ละสาขาบน PlayStation Blog ที่ได้รับการโหวตจากผู้เล่นรวมแล้วกว่า 2.5 ล้านคนทั่วโลก

และเกมที่ได้รับตำแหน่ง PS4 Game of the Year ประจำปีนี้ของ PlayStation Blog ก็คือ The Last of Us Part II จาก Naughty Dog นั่นเอง (ซึ่งเกมที่ได้เข้าชิงอื่นๆ คือ Ghost of Tsushima, Final Fantasy VII Remake และ Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales)

นอกเหนือจากตำแหน่ง PS4 Game of the Year แล้ว The Last of Us Part II ก็ยังได้รับรางวัลในสาขาอื่นๆ ด้วย ดังนี้
